Colin Ford BBus (Dist) Grad Dip (Info Stud) Cert IV TAE MACS(snr) CP (Retired), previously trading as LifeLong Learning Solutions (L3S) is a skilled and experienced IT Consultant and Trainer now based in Merimbula NSW.
With a personal commitment to lifelong learning and a firm belief that education can bring economic benefit and social cohesion to any community, L3S now services the health sector and small business owners in the Bega Valley and Eurobodalla regions on the Far South Coast of NSW.
Colin has been a member of the Australian Computer Society (ACS) since 1992. He was elected as a Senior Member in 2010 and is an ACS Certified Professional now retired. He is also an associate member of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA)

History
After establishing himself as one of Australia’s leading theatre sound designers, Colin was awarded a Churchill Fellowship in 1986 and undertook a lengthy research project across the USA, UK, Europe and Asia studying Live Theatre Systems for Large Auditoria.
Colin took his Bachelor of Business (Computing) at the University of New England (Northern Rivers campus) and graduated with distinction in 1994 also winning the prestigious Digital Equipment Corporation Prize for Business Computing.
In 2014 he completed his Graduate Diploma in Information Studies at Charles Sturt University.
Colin has worked in a variety of roles in ICT including:
- EDP Auditor – Internal Audit Bureau of NSW,
- SAP Analyst/Programmer – BHP Information Technology
- Network Analyst – Telstra Network Operations
- Information Systems Manager – Southern NSW Medicare Local
Relocating to Melbourne in 1997, Colin combined his audio and ICT skills as General Manager of System Sound Pty Ltd.
In 2008 Colin took his long service leave in the UK and on his return to Australia made a sea change to the NSW Far South Coast where he became involved with the Eurobodalla Senior Computer Users Group (EUROSCUG).
In 2012 he accepted a role as Information Systems Manager at the Southern NSW Medicare Local based in Moruya.
Colin provided services to Grand Pacific Health as a Business Systems Analyst working with a variety of clinical, business intelligence and reporting systems from Aug 2015 to June 2024 and is now retired.
